CHICAGO (AP) -- Investment research firm Morningstar Inc. on Thursday named Stephane Biehler as its new chief financial officer.
Biehler, 45, fills the opening left by Scott Cooley, its chief financial officer since 2007, who is taking a yearlong leave of absence to pursue a graduate degree.
Biehler has been working as the chief accounting officer and corporate controller for NYSE Euronext since 2007. He will join Chicago-based Morningstar when the pending merger between NYSE Euronext and Intercontinental Exchange is complete, which is expected Nov. 4.
Morningstar's stock added 4 cents to reach $73.99 by mid-afternoon, in line with broader market trends.
