The US energy industry is undergoing a Renaissance.
As I explain in my new Market Perspectives paper, the proliferation of shale gas and unconventional oil production techniques are leading to a surge in domestic energy production that is likely to continue in coming years.
Market Realist − In his speech at North Carolina State University, President Obama noted stated the following: “Because of an all-of-the-above strategy for American energy… for the first time in nearly two decades, we produce more oil here in the United States than we buy from the rest of the world.” As shown in the following graph, the U.S. exports of crude oil have experienced a steady increase in the past years.
