NComputing Is the Fastest Growing Company in the Worldwide Enterprise Client Device Market in Q2 2013

NComputing Grew Over 70% Quarter Over Quarter

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 30, 2013) - NComputing, the leader in accelerating the adoption of desktop virtualization, has been recognized as the fastest growing vendor in the worldwide enterprise client device market in the second quarter of 2013. According to the IDC Worldwide Enterprise Client Device Tracker Q2 2013, published September 25, 2013, NComputing showed 70% QoQ growth, as well as 65% YoY growth, far stronger than Dell Wyse or HP. The impressive showing closed the market share gap between NComputing and the two traditional market leaders to just a few percentage points.

The report tracked quarterly growth and shipments from Q2 2012 to Q2 2013 for 21 thin client vendors, with NComputing not only as the third ranked vendor for worldwide client device shipments, but with the highest growth QoQ and YoY. The report also shows that NComputing dramatically increased its number one market share position in both Latin America and the APAC/Japan region, with QoQ growth of 24.5% and 138.9% respectively.

NComputing attributes this growth to a combination of accelerating adoption in mid-market/SMB, as well as enterprise, along with share gains versus Dell Wyse and HP. In general, the market grew 7.4% QoQ, and by next year, market growth is expected to be over 10% YoY. Market pressures, budget constraints and an enterprise focus on mobility are driving organizations to desktop virtualization as a viable alternative to traditional PC computing. NComputing is gaining global interest and market share based on its unique combination of simplicity, performance and value and proven capabilities in high priority initiatives, including BYOD and migration to new Windows operating environments.

NComputing is leading desktop virtualization innovation forward in both hardware and software. The company recently announced major enhancements to its N-series line of Citrix® Ready HDX™ thin clients, which feature NComputing's unique and powerful System on Chip (SoC) technology. A new version of the vSpace Desktop and Application Virtualization Software was also recently announced. This technology is the ideal choice for organizations looking to take full advantage of the benefits of desktop virtualization, but do not want to deal with the typical cost and complexities associated with acquiring, deploying and maintaining a desktop virtualization solution. Today, NComputing solutions are in use by more than 20 million users in 140 countries.
