Neb. financial literacy news conference scheduled

Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg to hold news conference to promote financial literacy

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg is teaming up with the Nebraska Council on Economic Education to promote financial literacy of Nebraska high school students.

Stenberg and council president Roger Butters will hold a news conference Thursday morning to discuss new scholarship opportunities through the Nebraska Educational Savings Trust for high school students. The Nebraska state treasurer oversees the trust.

Jennifer Davidson, director of programs and community development for the Nebraska Council on Economic Education, also will participate in the news conference.
