Neptune Technologies posts third-quarter profit of $8.1 million

LAVAL, Quebec (AP) _ Neptune Technologies & Bioresources Inc. (NEPT) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $8.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Laval, Quebec-based company said it had net income of 11 cents per share.

The krill oil maker posted revenue of $9.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $9.2 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $1.16. A year ago, they were trading at $1.20.
