NOT A MINIVAN: Ford's Transit Connect Wagon has minivan features, including dual sliding doors, a high roof and seating for up to seven passengers. But Ford insists it's not a minivan because that name is too polarizing.
THE DETAILS: The new wagon will get 30-plus miles per gallon, making it the most fuel-efficient minivan on the market. Ford won't say how much it will cost, but it will compete with the Dodge Grand Caravan, which starts at $19,995.
WHAT'S NEXT: Ford will show the Transit Connect Wagon this month at the L.A. Auto Show. It goes on sale next fall.
