HURDLE CLEARED: Greece cleared an important hurdle in its drive to receive its next batch of bailout loans after reaching an agreement with international debt inspectors over the country's economic reforms.

TROIKA REVIEW: The review by delegates from the International Monetary Fund, European Commission and European Central Bank — known collectively as the troika — is part of a regular process under which Greece receives installments of its multibillion-euro bailout.

CIVIL SERVANTS AXED: As part of the agreement 15,000 civil servants will be removed by the end of 2014. New employees will be hired in their place.
