Northrop Grumman announced the successful demonstration of the company's Joint Threat Emitter, or JTE, in an electronic warfare, or EW, range concept test that took place at the U.S. Naval Station Everett Annex in Pacific Beach, Washington. During the demonstration, the JTE successfully engaged an E/A-18G Growler Electronic Attack Squadron from nearby Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash. The JTE allowed the squadron to train against the most sophisticated threats found on the modern EW battlefield and proved that the area can successfully support EW communications equipment and activity.
