ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (AP) -- Northrop Grumman Corp. said Monday that it received a $103 million delivery order from Naval Air Systems Command for Litening G4 targeting systems.

The Litening system is a self-contained, multi-sensor weapon aiming system that allows fighter pilots to accurately detect, track and identify targets for both conventional and precision-guided weapons, Northrop Grumman said.

Under the terms of the order, the defense contractor will supply the U.S. Marine Corps with Litening G4 pods. It will also provide G4 upgrade kits and spares to the Air National Guard to transform their existing pods into the G4 configuration.

Falls Church, Va.-based Northrop Grumman has delivered more than 200 Litening G4 systems to date, the company said.

Northrop Grumman shares rose 45 cents to $60.36 in afternoon trading. Its shares have traded in a 52-week range of $49.20 to $70.61.
