FORT MCMURRAY, AB--(Marketwire -02/08/12)- NorthStar Ford Group in Fort McMurray has been ranked second overall in sales for the western region of Canada and was ranked seventh overall in Canada for Ford dealers in both retail and commercial sales.
As a whole, the Ford brand finished the year as the No. 1 leader in automotive sales in Canada for the second year in a row. Sales of the Ford brand were boosted by sales of the popular F-Series pickup truck. Ford truck sales made up about three-quarters of the yearly total sales. Ford Canada sold over 275,000 vehicles last year, a 3 percent increase from 2010.
