Notable option activity in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Coeur (CDE): An investor sold 10,500 July 6 calls for $0.20, betting upside will be limited in the silver miner. CDE rose 1.43 percent to $5.69.

Reynolds American (RAI): An investor bought 2,300 July 75 calls for $1.30 and sold 4,600 July 77.50 calls for $0.49. The ratio spread cost $0.32 and will return 681 percent if the tobacco stock closes at $77.50 on expiration, with gains eroding above that level. RAI rose 0.97 percent to $74.31.

Twenty-First Century Fox (FOXA): More than 57,000 January 2017 25 puts were bought, most of which priced for $1.40, as investors sought long-term insurance on the media stock. FOXA rose 0.43 percent to $32.40.
