Notable option activity in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Kansas City Southern (KSU): Traders bought 7,400 September 95 calls for $1.20 against open interest of 1,591, looking for upside in the railroad stock. KSU rose 1.93 percent to $88.20.

Weyerhaeuser (WY): Some 7,214 October 29 calls were sold, mostly for $0.25, as investors bet there won't be much upside in the lumber company. WY rose 0.39 percent to $27.

Swift Transportation (SWFT): A block of 5,000 September 20 puts was rolled down to the 19s for a net cost of $0.50 as bears took profits in a downside trade and looked for further declines following its recent drop. SWFT rose 1.51 percent to $18.87.
