Honda's US sales in November rise on increases for Civic, Accord, CR-V

TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) -- Honda said Monday that November U.S. sales jumped 39 percent to a record for the month, buoyed by increases for the Accord, Civic and CR-V. Car sales rose 61 percent, trucks 18 percent.

BY THE NUMBERS: Honda sold 116,580 vehicles last month, up from 83,925 in November 2011.

TOP SELLER: The company sold 30,075 Civics, up 76 percent from 17,133 a year ago. The company has updated the subcompact with a sportier look on the 2013 model that hit showrooms last week after critics panned the 2012 version.

HOT MODELS: Honda sold 26,248 Accords, an 83 percent increase from a year ago. The Acura division's RDX crossover-SUV sold 3,036 units, a gain of 129 percent. Sales of the CR-V rose 36 percent to 22,333.
