TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) -- Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. said its U.S. sales rose 17.2 percent in November from a year ago, as sales rose for vehicles including its Corolla and Camry sedans and its Scion small cars.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Japanese automaker sold a total of 161,695 vehicles last month, compared to 137,960 in November 2011.
TOP SELLER: Sales of the Camry mid-size car rose 22.7 percent to 28,765 in November, up from 23,440 in the same month a year ago.
HOT MODELS: Sales of its various Scion models rose 57.8 percent to 5,606. Corolla sales rose 40.3 percent to 22,616. Lexus model sales rose 18.2 percent to 12,460. Tacoma truck sales rose 26 percent to 12,272.
