Apple may hold its iPad 3 announcement in March, according to the Japanese blog Macotakara. The blog, which has a decent record with Apple rumors, originally said the event would be held in early February.
The February date seemed a bit odd when first reported considering Macotakara also said the iPad 3 would launch in March. Apple usually doesn't allow that much time between announcement and launch. It seems more reasonable now that the blog claims the event and launch will both take place in March.
Macotakara also says the previously reported February event will be for something else, calling it "strange." (That's based on what Google's translation says, so it could mean anything.)
