Earnings, Revenue Beat Consensus
NutriSystem earned $0.15 a share in the third quarter on revenue of $85.4 million. Analysts had only expected $0.13 and $81.3 million, respectively. Those strong numbers are sending NTRI higher by almost 10 percent before the opening bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.
Nokia Projects Strength for NSN Unit
Nokia is selling its main cell-phone business to Microsoft, and things are looking good for its remaining Nokia Solutions & Networks business. The company sees profit margins climbing to about 12 percent this quarter from 8.4 percent in the third quarter. Management also forecast better sales. NOK climbs 6 percent in the premarket.
Revenue Weakness Hurts Volcano
Volcano Corp. preannounced third-quarter revenue of $95.8 million and said that full-year sales will be no more than $395 million. Analysts had expected $97 million and $399 million, respectively. VOLC drops 17 percent.
