NW Natural Elects New Board Member Malia Wasson, President of U.S. Bank in Oregon

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Aug 6, 2014) - The Board of Directors of Northwest Natural Gas Company, (NYSE: NWN), dba NW Natural, has appointed Malia H. Wasson as a member of the board effective August 1, 2014.

Wasson has served as president of U.S. Bank's Oregon and Southwest Washington operations since 2005. She leads the U.S. Bank Advisory Board in Portland.

Wasson is a lifelong Oregonian. Prior to joining U.S. Bank in 1989, she worked for Oregon Bank and Security Pacific Bank. She is a member of the board of directors at several organizations including Oregon Business Council, OHSU Foundation and OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, Portland Business Alliance, Greater Portland, Inc, SOLVE Founders' Circle and the American Red Cross Cascades Region Board of Advisors, among others. Wasson earned her Bachelor of Science and Commerce degree in finance from Santa Clara University.
