NEW YORK (AP) -- The Port Authority Bus Terminal, New York's biggest bus hub, has reopened.
But activity on Wednesday returned slowly, with no Greyhound service and no commuter buses to New Jersey.
Among eight portable vendor booths inside the terminal only one was open.
Its Tibetan woolen hats, scarves, gloves and other goods are the sole source of income for an entire Queens family.
It wasn't easy for Dolma Tsering, a 39-year-mother from Nepal, to get to work from her Corona neighborhood. But she said she had to come because she has two children and needs the money.
With no subways running, her commute took three hours, instead of the usual half hour.
But with few New Jersey commuters, she wondered if her efforts would be worth it.
