DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors Co. said Friday that its October U.S. sales rose 15.7 percent, led by the Chevrolet Silverado pickup and the Malibu midsize car.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Detroit-based automaker said it sold 226,402 cars and trucks last month, up from 195,764 a year earlier.
TOP SELLERS: Silverado sales rose 10.1 percent to 42,660. Malibu sales were up 63.5 percent to 15,746.
HOT MODELS: Cadillac ATS small sports sedan, whose sales more than doubled to 2,782. Sales of the new Chevrolet Corvette more than tripled, to 3,929.
