Ohio gas prices down to start work week, now below national average

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio motorists are seeing lower gas prices than a week ago.

A gallon of regular gas in Ohio was listed at an average of $3.56 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's 14 cents less than last Monday's average of $3.70.

The national average for regular gas is about $3.63 per gallon, down about 4 cents from a week ago.

The Ohio average is 21 cents lower than at the same time last month, and 28 cents lower than the same time in 2012.

The lowest average price in Ohio Monday was about $3.49 in the Dayton and Springfield areas.
