OpenStack must be growing up if we’re talking indemnification for goodness sake
Hewlett-Packard’s new OpenStack distribution and public cloud is notable for a few reasons. One: Most of us thought it already had this stuff. Two: When vendors tout their plans to indemnify customers to insulate them from lawsuits over intellectual property, we are squarely in the enterprise IT space. New and old worlds collide.
On this week’s show we discuss OpenStack’s push to the enterprise; hash out Google’s surprise acquisition of Stackdriver, a cloud performance monitoring service that initially focused on Amazon Web Services; and, five technologies that could push big data across the chasm.
