Shot live from the 2012 OFC/NFOEC conference in Los Angeles, California, the video includes comments from optical experts about how transport networks are evolving from static to flexible 'Self Aware' architectures that better support the overall explosion in bandwidth demand.
Network equipment manufacturers are under pressure to provide faster network speeds and higher optical performance to keep pace with bandwidth requirements as more consumers access online video and other applications through new devices such as smart phones and tablets.
