Oracle acquires Involver, a provider of SML

On July 10, Oracle announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Involver, a leading provider of SML (Social Markup Language), a social media development platform that enables developers to create highly customized marketing applications for social media sites and web campaigns. The transaction is expected to close in the summer of 2012. Until the transaction closes, Oracle and Involver will continue to operate independently and it is business as usual.
