Blames Execution by Sales Force

Oracle had a surprise profit miss yesterday, earning just $0.65 a share in its third quarter. Analysts had expected $0.66. Revenue of $9.38 billion also lagged the $8.96 billion estimate. ORCL drops 8 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Jabil Circuit Earnings Miss

Jabil Circuit earned just $0.53 a share in its second quarter, a penny shy of consensus estimates. Revenue beat but outlook was weak, with the top and bottom lines both seen below estimates in the third quarter. JBL drops 2.5 percent in early trading.

Guess Provides Weak Outlook

Guess reported strong results, but the outlook was poor as margins crumble. First-quarter profit is expected to be no more than $0.10 a share, well below the $0.29 projected by the Street. Sales guidance is also weak, and GES is down 6 percent in the premarket.
