Orchid Island Capital Announces 4M Share Public Offering of Common Stock

Orchid Island Capital, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE: ORC) announced today that it has commenced a public offering of 4,000,000 shares of its common stock. The Company also plans to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares of common stock on the same terms and conditions to cover over-allotments, if any. All of the shares in the public offering are being offered by the Company.

Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS), is the book running manager for the offering.

A registration statement relating to the shares of common stock to be issued and sold in the public offering has been filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") but has not yet been declared effective. The shares of common stock to be issued and sold in the public offering may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the registration statement being declared effective.
