TULSA, Okla., Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 160 acres in the Osage Hills could become the site for someone's private estate overlooking the city. Or several smaller estates. Or it could serve as a recreational or weekend getaway. Whatever the potential use, the land will be offered at auction Tuesday, Oct. 14, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company managing the sale.
"This is a very rare situation in that you can see the Tulsa skyline, yet it's a place where someone can legally hunt, or fish in one of the two stocked ponds," said Brent Wellings, Southwest marketing manager for the auction company.
The land, consisting of rolling hills with woodlands north of 43rd Street North, is six miles from Downtown Tulsa and is being offered in five tracts, ranging from 10 to 53 acres.
"Taken as a whole, it's a nice property for deer hunting, with both woods and open fields. But we're offering it in tracts so that more people can participate. We could end up with several bidders purchasing parts of the land, or with one buyer purchasing the entire property," said Wellings.
Schrader personnel will be available at the property to guide tours and provide detailed information from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 and Sept. 30. The auction will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Lodge at Bridle Creek, 5811 Roper Road, Sperry, Okla.
