DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) -- Shares in Pacer International Inc. rose Tuesday after the freight transportation and logistics company said that its 2014 revenue could exceed market expectations.
Pacer said it expects to earn between 35 and 45 cents per share for the year on revenue between $1.1 billion and $1.3 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet were forecasting, on average, earnings of 39 cents per share on revenue of $1.06 billion for its 2014 fiscal year.
Shares of the Dublin, Ohio-based company rose 21 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $8.59 by early afternoon.
