They have a PM but they are not a country. Strange world.

So people are the same everywhere. Everybody wants good government and nobody is willing to pay taxes. Ultimately nobody gets both of those.

They would rather let America pay for them

The most amazing part of the article isn't the fact that some people are protesting a tax hike. What is incredible and reflects on the total incomptence of our American news media, the fact that there is absolutly no information on what current tax rates are, nor what the new rates would rise to. Shame on the AP for providing us with what are truly half truths.

Why should they protest, don't they realize how much the costs of explosives and rockets have gone up? Someone has to pay for all there mayhem, death and destruction.

Palestinians, if I was one, living there I would run a very, very deep audit on your monies there. If you remember your pres. Arafat hide money-your money all over the world in secret bank accts. properties, and investments. ONLY his wife knew exactly where and how much was hidden. When Arafat died the current leadership had to BEG Arafat's wife to disclose everything, she did eventually, but ONLY for a guaranteed $29M / per yr. income for her and her daughter. The woman also lived in Paris in a $15M apt., paid by your money.
Run an audit, you get taxes, and many millions donated to you every yr. by the US, EU and others. Lat time I've heard just the EU gives you some $10M/yr.

Arafat stole hundreds of millions from Palestinians. He acquired a blond, American beauty queen wife and retired to a palatial estate in France to live the good life....where his wife and kids continue to live the good life while Palestinians suffer...... and this terrorist and thief Arafat won a Nobel Peace Prize?

Why not hire Obama to fix their problems. He's doing such a wonderful job here. He'll be closer to Mecca, too, so he can make his pilgrimage.

If the Palestinians would just move into reality and make peace with Israel their lives would be so much better. Palestinians, just drop your charter which calls for the destruction of Israel by pushing them into the sea. Wake up Israel is not going anywhere. With 5-7 million Israelis, a superior modern army, a good economy, supported by the strongest country on earth is not going to be defeated in any way. Why do this to yourselves? What do you get out of this? I know its difficult for Muslims to live in modern times and modern thinking but now is a time to start. Stop lobbing missiles, stop calling for destruction of Israelis, and make peace. What you've been doing to this day has not got you the state that you want. It's time for change.
