Peruvian Prime Minister Juan Jimenez resigns


LIMA, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Peruvian Prime Minister JuanJimenez said on Tuesday that he is leaving President OllantaHumala's government after presiding over a 15-month period ofrelative calm in the Andean country rife with social conflicts.

Jimenez, a former human rights lawyer, also confirmed in atelevised interview that his replacement will be CesarVillanueva, the current regional president of the northerndepartment of San Martin.
