Over the weekend, an Exxon Mobile spill leaked thousands of barrels-worth of crude oil and forced 22 households to evacuate in Arkansas. Exxon spokesman Alan Jeffers said some homes “appear to have small amounts of oil on their foundations.” These photos were submitted to Arkansasmatters.com, the website of TV station KARK, which granted Quartz permission to republish.
