PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Sparkling jewels and designer denim will set the stage for the 2013 Hope Bash, as organizers plan an evening of easy elegance to benefit the foster children, young mothers and emancipated youth under the care of Place of Hope.
Hope Bash Co-Chairs Nicole Henry and Elin Nordegren of Jupiter are leading a collaborative committee to create “Jeans & Jewels: Palm Beach Nights,” planned for May 3, 2013, at PGA National Resort. Raymond Lee Jewelers is the exclusive jewelry sponsor for the event. Additional sponsors include Katherine Christoffers, Connie Frankino, Bud and Kathy Conlan, Dave Donten, BNY Mellon, Randy Macpherson and media sponsor Gulfstream Media Group.
The Berlin Family Foundation has pledged a matching challenge grant of up to $50,000 for monies raised during the Hope Bash’s “Bid from the Heart,” also known as a cash call.
Art gallery owner Henry said she was compelled to co-chair the event because of her long-time involvement with and love for the organization’s mission.
“Having been involved with Place of Hope for five years, I had first-hand experience to see kids and young adults thrive in a way I had not known was possible,” Henry said.
Nordegren, an international figure, agreed to co-chair after being introduced to Place of Hope through Henry, her close friend.
“My friends volunteered for mentoring programs at Place of Hope; and, as I listened to their incredible experiences, I became more and more intrigued about also being involved,” she said. “I have been interested in Child Psychology for most of my life, and when I learned Place of Hope focuses on the psychological well-being of foster children, I felt this organization was a very good fit for me.”
With campuses in Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Place of Hope is a faith-based, state-licensed child welfare organization that provides family-style foster care (emergency and long-term); family outreach and intervention; maternity care; safety for domestic minor sexually trafficked victims; transitional housing and support services; adoption and foster care recruitment and support; hope and healing opportunities for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect.
The 2013 Hope Bash will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $300 per person. For more information, visit online at www.placeofhope.com.
