CLEVELAND (AP) -- Polymer materials maker PolyOne Corp. said Monday that it is promoting Chief Financial Officer Robert Patterson to chief operating officer, effective immediately
Richard Diemer has joined the company to be the new CFO. Diemer, 53, was previously chief financial officer of Styron LLC and Albemarle Corp.
Patterson, 39, will oversee all four of PolyOne's business segments and will develop the company's annual operating plans along with its broader strategy. He joined the company in 2008 as CFO.
PolyOne makes a wide variety of polymer materials and other chemical products like inks and dyes. It makes many materials for other firms that use polymers to manufacture an array of products.
Shares of PolyOne rose 3 cents to $13.22 in morning trading.
