CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - Jul 16, 2013) - Premier Alliance Group, Inc., (
A paper authored by Premier Alliance's engineering team and lead by Rob Davis, Senior Vice President of Energy Services, on the scalability of Demand Response applications was submitted to the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) during its call for papers for the 2013 WEEC. The paper was accepted and Mr. Davis was asked to present during the event and sit on a discussion panel regarding Demand Response and its impact on the utility industry.
The Demand Response services market was estimated to be in excess of $1.3 billion in 2011, and is expected to grow rapidly according to a leading research firm. Demand Response refers to a rapidly evolving utility application, otherwise referred to as the "smart grid". It encompasses hardware, software and services, and is catalyzing Premier Alliance's Energy Services division and should continue to generate strong growth going forward.
The WEEC is a well-recognized annual event for end users and energy professionals in all areas of the energy field. It is the one truly comprehensive forum where you can fully assess the "big picture" and see exactly how the economic and market forces, new technologies, regulatory developments and industry trends all merge to shape critical decisions on an organization's energy and economic future.
"We couldn't be more proud of Rob and his team for this outstanding recognition," said Mark Elliott, CEO of Premier Alliance. "The World Energy Engineering Congress is one of the most important energy related events of the year with both national and international impact. The fact that our paper was selected among all the applicants is yet another testament to our energy team's outstanding reputation in the industry."
