President Obama Wanted to Wear His Tan Suit for His Last Press Conference But Michelle Convinced Him Not to

From Harper's BAZAAR

This afternoon, President Barack Obama holds his final press conference in the White House. As he addressed reporters for the last time as POTUS, he praised the media's job to "push those of us in power to be the best versions of ourselves," reiterated messages in his farewell address last week and took various questions from the press. But before he got down to the nitty gritty, he had a serious issue to address: his outfit.

After entering the room in a navy blue suit, POTUS joked that he should have revived the beige ensemble he wore in a press conference back in 2014 instead. He said at the podium:

"Let me start off by saying that I was sorely tempted to wear a tan suit today for my last press conference, but Michelle, whose fashion sense is little better than mine, tells me that's not appropriate in January."

With all due respect, Mr. President, there is never an inappropriate time to whip out this ensemble again:

Perhaps we'll see more of that after his presidency.
