PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) -- The cost of attending Princeton University will be going up again in the fall.
But the Ivy League school is also boosting the amount of financial aid it gives to students by 4.6 percent to cover those rising costs.
University trustees voted Saturday to approve an undergraduate tuition fee for the 2013-14 school year of $40,170, an increase of 3.9 percent from this year.
Princeton's room and board charges will also increase. Room fees will go up 3.9 percent to $7,220 a year and board rates will increase 3.2 percent to $5,860 for a full meal plan.
The average financial aid package for a student admitted to the Class of 2016 will be $39,700.
