Industry leader appointed to launch firm's property management service in BC

VANCOUVER , Jan. 23, 2014 /CNW/ - Michael Keenan , Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Vancouver office, announced today that Craig Bradshaw has joined the firm to launch its new property management service in Vancouver, BC .

Effective immediately, Bradshaw joins Avison Young as Vice-President, Property Management, BC. He will direct the growth of Avison Young's property management business coverage in Vancouver and throughout BC, and recruit leading industry professionals to build the team.

Specializing in the delivery of third-party commercial property management services, Bradshaw brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young . For the past two and half years, he served as Vice-President, Business Development, Western Canada for Arcturus Realty (a division of engineering firm SNC Lavalin) in Vancouver , where he focused on third-party property-management-portfolio development for the company. Before joining Arcturus, he spent 14 years with Colliers International, rising to lead the firm's commercial property management operations in BC. 

During his career, Bradshaw has been responsible for teams managing in excess of 17 million square feet (msf) of commercial real estate. He has provided strategic advisory services to landlords, investors and developers, and has developed comprehensive management solutions to specific client and portfolio requirements.

In addition to serving the needs of Vancouver -based clients, Bradshaw will assist clients based in other parts of British Columbia, Canada and the U.S. while working with Avison Young's property management professionals throughout the company.

Avison Young currently has approximately 70 msf of retail, industrial and office properties under management in Canada and the U.S.

Bradshaw holds a diploma in urban land economics from the University of British Columbia and the Certified Shopping Centre Manager (CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC). Over the years, he has been involved in various charitable activities, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and the Canadian Cancer Society.
