IRVINE, Calif. (AP) -- Quality Systems Inc. named Daniel Morefield as its chief operating officer Tuesday.
Morefield worked most recently as president and CEO of sales lead management company LEADS360 Inc. The move is effective Sept. 25. He fills the position that has been vacant since the company's former chief operating officer Philip Kaplan resigned in 2010.
Quality Systems Inc., based in Irvine, Calif., makes medical records and billing software. The company said it believes Morefield's operational and technical experience will benefit the growth and future of the company. He was also named executive vice president.
Shares rose 16 cents, less than 1 percent, to $18.80 by midday.
