Mr. Apostol comes to QuickLogic most recently from EXAR Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance, analog mixed-signal components and data management solutions. In the role of Executive Vice President of Engineering & Operations and Chief Technology Officer at EXAR, Mr. Apostol successfully transformed engineering infrastructure and methodology enabling EXAR to transition to a system level solution business that resulted in quarterly revenue and unit volume sales records.
Prior to EXAR Corporation, Mr. Apostol was the Chief Technology Officer & Vice President of Engineering for PLX Technology Inc., a leading global supplier of high-speed connectivity solutions enabling emerging data center architectures. During his tenure, he was credited with significant improvements in design quality, time to market and the implementation of new system level product features which contributed to an over 80% increase in annual revenue. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and holds in excess of a dozen patents.
