RadioShack to open at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving

Struggling electronics chain RadioShack (RSH) on Monday added its name to the growing list of retailers that will be open on Thanksgiving Day. For the first time, the company will open the majority of its stores at 8 a.m. Thursday, and they will remain open until midnight. Last year, most of its doors were closed on Thanksgiving. The company joins the likes of Toys R Us and J.C. Penney (JCP), which will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, while Sears (SHLD), Kohl's (KSS), Macy's (NYSE:M), Belk (BLKIA) and Staples (SPLS) will open at 6 p.m.

It ended the same quarter with total liquidity of $182.5 million. Last month the retailer said it had entered into an agreement to restructure a portion of its debt.
