RadioShack seen as potential retail survivor, CNBC reports

Despite its troubles competing with online rivals, RadioShack may be a survivor, reports CNBC. The company wants to overhaul its undifferentiated product lineup and present merchandise displays around strong brands. Also, it's re-emphasize the company's do-it-yourself roots and plans to cut the number of items it sells to about 3,500 from 4,500. RadioShack can also focus on higher-margin merchandise.
