A line of baby strollers that pose a strangulation hazard and sheets that pose a suffocation hazard are part of this week's recalled consumer products. Faulty canning jar lifters and wall ovens are among several other recalled products.
DETAILS: Mutsy EVO strollers made between Feb. 2012 and Nov. 2012 with the following model numbers: MT12-03, MT12-11, MT12-14, MT12-31, MT12-34, MT12-37, MT12-39, MT12-42, MT12-43 and MT12-48. The model number and date code can be found underneath the stroller seat on a white sticker. The strollers have black or silver-colored metal frames with brown, navy blue, black, or white seats. "EVO" is printed on the lower back frame of the stroller. They were sold between April and Dec. 2012.
WHY: The opening between the grab bar and seat bottom of the stroller can allow an infant's body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck, posing a strangulation hazard to young children when a child is not harnessed.

DETAILS: 4moms breeze cotton jersey playard sheets made by Thorley Industries LLC. The sheets are cream-colored, cotton jersey fabric. They were sold as an accessory to the 4moms breeze play yard. "4moms" is printed on a black tag sewn onto the sheet. Item number 4M-009-10-000101 is printed on the packaging and UPC 817980011137 is printed on the sheet's packaging and on a white warning tag sewn onto the sheet. They were sold in December and January.
WHY: The sheets are too small for the play yards. A sheet that does not properly fit the play yard poses an entrapment hazard that could lead to suffocation.

CANNING JAR LIFTERS
DETAILS: One Handed Jar Lifter imported by Progressive International Corp. The tongs are designed for lifting canning jars out of boiling water. The lifter is red with white handles. It is made of plastic and metal with a nylon coating. They were sold from Feb. 2012 to Oct. 2012.
WHY: The jar lifter handle can detach over time due to a missing stainless steel core in the hinge. This can cause the tongs to fail to grip and allow a jar being lifted to fall, posing a laceration hazard to the user.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

DETAILS: BlueStar gas wall ovens in three models made prior to Nov. 23, 2012. Oven sizes include 24-, 30- and 36-inch wide units. Each of the three sizes was available for use with natural gas or liquid propane. The propane version is designated by the letter "L'' at the end of the model number. Model numbers and date codes are located on the rating plate inside the control panel. They include the 24-inch oven with model numbers BW024AGS and BW024AGSL, the 30-inch model with numbers BW030AGS and BW030AGSL, and the 36-inch oven with model numbers BW036AGS and BW036AGSL.
WHY: Some of the wall ovens have been improperly installed and/or have damaged flexible gas appliance connectors, posing a fire hazard.
INCIDENTS: One report of a fire, resulting in property damage to the cabinet that held the oven. No injuries have been reported.

DETAILS: Fornasetti Profumi Grande scented candles made by United Perfumes Limited and sold at Barneys from Oct. 2010 through Dec. 2011. They weigh about 67 ounces and have a 6 -or 7-inch high ceramic vessel with one of four Fornasetti designs. Designs include monkeys with white background, red and blue sardines, black and gold pens and black and white striped face on the side of the vessels.
WHY: The candles can burn with a high flame, presenting a fire and burn hazard to consumers.
INCIDENTS: One report of a consumer that picked up the candle and was burned on the hand by the wax of the candle while walking.

The gas-powered golf and transport vehicles come in five models and colors and can be identified by model and serial number, which can be found on a plate above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. WHY: The fuel hose could separate from the fuel tank.
