FORT WORTH, Texas, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce named Red Productions the Small Business of the Year Tuesday before the mayor's State of the City address.
Each year, the Chamber hosts a competition to recognize the best in small business practices in Fort Worth. Small businesses in Tarrant county can compete for the award in four categories: emerging, 1-10 employees, 11-50 employees and 51-150 employees. Red Productions won in the 1-10 employee category.
The honor for Red Productions came after a 2012 that included significant staff growth, the national release of a locally created film, and national recognition for work done for TCU Athletics.
"It's such an honor to receive this award," Red Sanders, president of Red Productions, said. "Fort Worth does a fantastic job of nurturing small businesses, and since we're such a young company it's great validation to receive recognition from the Chamber."
The objective of the award is "to recognize and honor businesses that have demonstrated "Best Practices" of entrepreneurship, such as sound business planning, fiscal responsibility and work process innovation in operating their business."
