Redfin (www.redfin.com), the customer-first real estate brokerage, today launched Redfin Home Dashboard, a comprehensive online resource for home sellers. The new tool gives people who sell their home with a Redfin agent real-time data on how many people are viewing their property online, what their Redfin agent is doing to sell their home, and what the next steps are in the selling process, including reminders about important tasks to complete. As online marketing becomes more important in selling a home, no other major broker offers a more complete or dynamic report on the performance of each of its listings.

The dashboard adds to the digital marketing program that Redfin provides for each of its listings, including premium placement on Redfin.com that doubles the amount of traffic the home receives from potential buyers, targeted emails and advertisements to homebuyers who are searching for homes in the area and free professional photography for listing photos. This additional exposure has been proven to sell homes faster, and for more money, according to a recent Redfin analysis. With the Redfin Home Dashboard, Redfin clients will be able to see the results of these activities in real time.

Prior to listing their home, homeowners can claim an address on Redfin.com to see what their home is worth based on the Redfin Home Value Tool, how their home compares with others in the area and the number of Redfin users who are searching for homes like theirs. This information will help them assess how competitive their home may be in the current market, how quickly it might sell and what price they could get for it, so they’ll know when the time is right to start talking to a Redfin agent about selling.

Before placing a home on the market, a Redfin real estate agent will conduct a thorough comparative market analysis to determine the value of the home. Redfin real estate agents are accountable for delivering the price they recommend for the home, because every Redfin customer is surveyed about their satisfaction with their Redfin experience, and every survey is published, positive or negative. Redfin agents earn a significantly higher bonus when their clients are happy.

Redfin charges a 1.5 percent listing fee for home sellers (with a minimum fee of $5,500), instead of the traditional 3 percent fee. Once a home is claimed, the Redfin Home Dashboard will appear under “My Redfin” when the homeowner is signed in. Once a homeowner decides to sell a home using a Redfin real estate agent, the Redfin Home Dashboard will display additional information when the homeowner is signed in.
