Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Raises More Than $296,000 in One Week From Mobile Donations

Hipcricket Partners With Griffin Communications for Tornado Relief Text-to-Donate Campaign

KIRKLAND, WA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - Hipcricket®, Inc. ("Hipcricket"), the one-stop mobile advertising and marketing company and subsidiary of Augme® Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: AUGT) (or "Augme"), today announced that in one week, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma raised more than $296,000 to help those affected by the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma. These relief funds were raised through a text-to-donate campaign designed by Hipcricket and implemented in conjunction with Griffin Communications and the Mobile Giving Foundation.

"Text-to-donate is a powerful tool to mobilize a quick and substantial response to horrendous situations," said Ivan Braiker, CEO of Hipcricket. "It democratizes and reduces barriers to charitable giving. We at Hipcricket are happy to help out in any way we can with the relief efforts in Oklahoma."

Mobile users can provide support to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma with a one-time donation of $10 by texting FOOD or TORNADO to 32333. The donation, which is accepted through all mobile phone carriers, will be added to the participants phone bill or deducted from the prepaid balance.

"The outpouring of support has been humbling," said Rodney Bivens, executive director at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. "This campaign allowed us to raise funds quickly because the message is simple and they make it easy for people to respond and donate. Thanks to Griffin Communications and Hipcricket, this effort gives us the resources to help storm victims now and well into the future."

The Regional Food Bank, the largest private hunger-relief organization in Oklahoma, is able to provide five meals for every dollar donated.

"Even if they can't be there physically, text-to-donate allows people from all over the nation to help bring relief to Oklahoma," said Houston Hunt, vice president of marketing at Griffin Communications. "The campaign will remain open. We encourage people to continue to donate and provide ongoing support to the Regional Food Bank. Hunger is not an issue that can be solved in a week."

To donate $10 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, please text FOOD or TORNADO to 32333.
