MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Regis Corp. said Thursday that it has appointed Jim Lain as its executive vice president and chief operating officer of the hair care company.
Lain currently works for Gap Inc. as the vice president of its Gap specialty business, a position he has held since 2011.
Regis CEO and President Dan Hanrahan said Lain's leadership and experience will help improve the salon experience.
The Minneapolis-based company operates thousands of beauty salons nationwide under brands such as Supercuts, MasterCuts, Regis Salons and Cost Cutters.
Regis shares fell 14 cents to close at $14.50, in line with the broader market.
