ATHENS, GREECE--(Marketwire -02/06/12)- Safe Bulkers, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE: SB - News) announced today that the Company will host an Investor and Analyst Day in New York City tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7th 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm ET.

The agenda for the meeting will include a review of the Company's business strategy, as well as an in-depth discussion on the global dry bulk shipping industry.

Safe Bulkers' current fleet consists of 18 drybulk vessels, all built post-2003, and the Company has contracted to acquire 10 additional drybulk newbuild vessels to be delivered at various times through 2014. The Company has paid 14 consecutive quarterly dividends since its listing in May 2008.
