Roanoke area commercial sites to sell in July 23 Woltz auction

ROANOKE, Va., June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ten commercial properties in highly visible locations throughout the greater Roanoke area will sell at auction Wednesday, July 23, with Woltz & Associates marketing the properties and managing the sale.

"This will be one of the area's biggest auctions of commercial properties in recent memory, with not only a number of properties, but some really good sites in desirable, visible, high-traffic locations," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company.

One property expected to attract attention is a 7.48-acre tract at Route 419 and Loch Haven Road at Interstate 81 Exit 141 in Roanoke County, Woltz said. "This site has incredible visibility from I-81 and is zoned C2-General Commercial, so it would be excellent for a hotel, restaurant or other business that would benefit from travelers," said Woltz.

A second highlight, he said, is 9.5 acres on Clearbrook Lane at Clearbrook Village Lane next to Walmart in the rapidly developing Clearbrook area. "The Clearbrook Lane tract has easy access from U.S. Route 220, which is a major north/south artery serving Roanoke, Smith Mountain Lake and Martinsville, with high traffic counts," said Woltz.

The auction will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Tanglewood Holiday Inn, Roanoke.
