TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Heat Pipe Technology (HPT) a division of MiTek® Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway company (NYSE: BRK-A, NYSE: BRK-B), today announced that it has seen a surge of sales of its heat pipe systems after the release of the new SelectPlus design software.
In a few short months, nearly 700 enterprise users have registered to use SelectPlus, a no-cost cloud-based software solution that directly assists with heat pipe design, including the ability to create engineering drawings and output required document submittals. With this software tool, engineers and HVAC system designers have specified HPT’s solutions at a record pace.
Whether the SelectPlus user is an HPT Representative, a Design Engineer, or an OEM, SelectPlus allows them to access workflow processes that are central to their roles in the design, specification, and installation of HPT solutions. These capabilities include the selection of Dehumidification Heat Pipes (DHPs), Energy Recovery Heat Pipes (HRMs), and the ability to calculate the Recovery Efficiency Ratio (RER) to determine true net savings.
A special feature of SelectPlus allows users to input "hours of operation," for accurate savings analysis. SelectPlus also has the ability for users to share their projects with anyone using the software. This allows for seamless interaction between engineers, their representatives, and HPT. Design engineers will also enjoy SelectPlus’ ability to generate dimensional drawings and help select HPT systems for direct-expansion and chilled-water systems.
“The surge in sales that we have seen since we released the SelectPlus software has exceeded even our ambitious expectations,” said HPT’s Maz Awad. “The remarkable capabilities of SelectPlus has been the catalyst, and we are on a pace to deliver more HPT systems this year than any year in our Company’s history.”
