SAN DIEGO, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ihomebutler (www.ihomebutler.com), the San Diego-based online service that interactively assists homeowners with individual maintenance management, announced the official launch of its online platform to homeowners across the nation. After a soft launch in November 2012, the company has been working with residential property owners, housing industry professionals and service providers to build its database of both users and verified businesses for home services.
Once homeowners input their residential property's information into the system, the ihomebutler application sends automated quarterly reminders to suggest maintenance checks or the need for professional service.
"We've used our own experience in the handling, purchasing, selling and financing of residential properties to identify the needs of today's homeowner," said Bruce Ives, CEO of ihomebutler. "Through automated notifications, our goal is to help our members prevent accidents and costly repairs attributed to home issues that could have been avoided with a timely check or service."
Once a homeowner receives the quarterly notification email, he/she will have the option to "Get a Bid" from licensed and bonded service providers in the respective area. Areas of specialty include, but are not limited to: plumbing, air duct cleaning, roofing, carpenters, cleaning services, electricians and landscapers.
In addition to being a resource for the homeowner, ihomebutler's platform allows for real estate and insurance brokers to enter in their client's home information, to then personally send out the reminders on a quarterly basis; the newsletter is endorsed with the broker's photo and business information.
"Not only is ihomebutler a service that I use for my own home, but it's a way for me to stay in consistent contact with my clients every few months; something that was difficult to find a 'reason' for in the past," said Paul Hartley, Broker Associate at Prudential California Realty. "By providing this free service of home maintenance notifications to past and potential clients, I'm positioned as a helpful resource and have even received a few phone calls from clients, who received my ihomebutler email, wanting to touch base on real estate plans."
As of March 2013, ihomebutler is offering users a free annual membership, regularly priced at $149/year, for a limited time.
Introducing ihomebutler: your home's personal assistant. Launched in late 2012 by business professionals with a vast background in owning, buying and selling homes, ihomebutler helps residential property owners avoid unexpected costs associated with deferred maintenance in their home. Based on each home's individual make up, customized maintenance suggestions are sent out on a quarterly basis, with elective "Get a Bid" options next to each reminder. Should an ihomebutler user choose to "Get a Bid," they are presented with a customized estimate from a local, licensed and bonded service provider in the respective industry.
