Send Word Now Launches New Cisco IP Phone Alerting

Marketwired

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 25, 2013) - Send Word Now, the leading worldwide provider of emergency notification and critical communications services, announced today the release of Cisco IP Phone Alerting, a new capability for warning employees through Cisco IP endpoints. The optional new offering is fully-integrated into Send Word Now's award-winning online emergency communications platform.

From within the Send Word Now application, administrators can create a text alert and choose Cisco IP Phones as a device option for message delivery. Within seconds of launching, the text alert will appear on recipients' LCD phone display.

In addition, recipients can interact with the message by pressing phone function buttons, responding to questions using Send Word Now's "Get Word Back" feature. Message responses and delivery statistics are captured within Send Word Now reports.

"Send Word Now's Cisco IP Phone Alerting gives administrators the power to turn every Cisco desk phone into an alerting device," said Lorin Bristow, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "The new feature helps ensure everyone receives critical alerts, even if they are busy working or engaged in a phone conversation."

The new IP phone alerting capability provides Send Word Now clients with another authoritative notification method in addition to other available means such as email, SMS, desktop alerting, and voice calls.
